About Traci
I grew up on a ranch in Northern California, where I developed a love of the outdoors, hard work, and adventure. I still live not far from where my story began, though my path has taken me places I never could have imagined.
I’ve worked as a wildland firefighter, led nonprofit organizations, earned an Executive MBA in my forties, and built a career in local government. I’m also a small business owner. Along the way, I’ve faced setbacks, started over, and slowly built a life that feels like my own.
Outside of work and writing, I’m a private pilot, outdoor adventurer, marathon finisher, and enthusiastic traveler. Most of all, I’m proud to be a mom of three and grandma of three.
For a long time, there were parts of my life I didn’t talk about. Writing meant returning to those years with honesty and empathy—and questioning the belief that my mistakes defined me.
They don’t.
I Kept Going is my first book. It explores the possibility of change, even when change doesn’t feel possible.
